What is scanning?
Scanning an asteroid is the action which uncovers bonuses and resource abundances for your asteroid. This additionally allows you to start core sampling and mining asteroids.
Requirements/Prerequisites
- Ownership of the asteroid
- Testnet ETH (it’s free) in your account to complete the action.
How to scan asteroids
- Navigate to the asteroid you own that you would like to scan.
- Click the green scan button on the bottom right, or navigate to the asteroid details panel and click the composition tab to see the “start scan” button.
- Confirm scan and wait for the scanning timer to complete.
- Navigate to the asteroid again and go to the composition tab within details and click “Finalize”. Once this is done you will have uncovered bonuses and resource abundances.
Scanning asteroids can take a bit of time, and requires two separate actions. If you are running into errors follow the trouble shooting tips below.
